2 Player Raid Tycoon Events
Air Drops, KotH, Oddball, and Double Cash—timed objectives that fund floors or donate vaults.
Why events matter
Timed events rotate every few minutes in 2 Player Raid Tycoon. They are free tempo if your duo treats them as mini objectives—and free losses if both partners abandon a naked vault. The four rotations you will see most often are Air Drops, King of the Hill (KotH), Oddball, and Double Cash.
This guide explains what each event is for, how Anchor and Rover roles should react, and when to leave the pad versus when to stay. Pair it with How to Raid, How to Defend, Factory Building, Players, the Raid Checklist, and Codes so event cash actually becomes floors and guns.
Event cheat sheet
| Event | Primary payoff | Default duo plan |
|---|---|---|
| Double Cash | Faster button buys / income spikes | Both near factory unless vault is under attack |
| Air Drops | Contested map loot | Rover contests; Anchor watches pad |
| King of the Hill | Hold-zone rewards | One holds; other peeks home each fight cycle |
| Oddball | Carrier / ball control rewards | Swap carrier on low health; never leave vault naked |
Exact payout numbers shift with updates. Play the job, not a spreadsheet.
Double Cash — stay and mash
Double Cash is the builder’s favorite window. Droppers, conveyors, upgraders, and floor buttons effectively print faster while the multiplier is live. That makes it the best moment to dump Shop codes (LAUNCH, THX1500) into the income spine from Factory Building.
When to stay
- Your production line is incomplete or jammed
- You just redeemed codes and have unspent cash
- A neighboring team looks geared and idle near your entry
- You are one button away from a floor or mid-gun unlock
When a Rover may leave
- Line is running clean, walls/laser/turret minimum is online, and the rival vault looks soft
- You only need a short power poke, not a three-minute world tour
Never start a deep vault crack five seconds into Double Cash if your partner is AFK. Income missed during the window is income you will grind for later.
Air Drops — early feet win
Air Drops reward teams that move early. Late arrivals fight over scraps while a third party walks into an empty factory. Treat drops as optional contested loot, not a mandatory all-hands scramble.
Duo script
- Rover calls “drop” and moves first.
- Anchor confirms laser door / turret still alive, then resumes buttons.
- Rover only commits both bodies if the drop is uncontested and home is quiet.
- If two other duos are already stacking the crate, rotate home—your vault is safer money.
Air Drop bait is classic. Enemy teams ping the sky while a sleeper squad sits on your power room. Read How to Defend before you both sprint every crate.
King of the Hill — hold, then peek home
KotH pays for controlling a zone. It creates loud, predictable fights—which is useful cover for a third-party raid and dangerous if you tunnel vision.
Duo script
- Partner A holds the hill with a mid gun.
- Partner B cycles: fight → glance at base → rejoin.
- If your vault path is soft (no wall, no guard), Partner B becomes full Anchor and you accept a smaller KotH share.
Use KotH chaos as approach cover when scouting a soft base, but do not start a vault crack while your hill partner is 1v2. Call “home” early if a revenge squad disappears from the hill—they are probably at your door.
Oddball — carrier discipline
Oddball puts a portable objective in play. The carrier is a moving loot pinata. Winning Oddball without losing your factory is a co-op skill, not a solo flex.
Rules that keep vaults alive
- Swap the carrier on low health instead of ego-dueling
- Never both chase the ball across the map while lasers are down
- If you are the ball team and a rival starts shooting your power, drop the greed and home
- Flamethrower denial helps peel chasers in chokes; rockets are usually wasted on open-field ball peels
Oddball lobbies feel chaotic. Short calls from the Players hub—Power, Vault, Home—still beat paragraph chat.
Leave-base vs stay-base decision tree
Ask these questions in order:
- Is Double Cash live? Prefer stay / button mash unless the vault is already under fire.
- Is our minimum defense online? If no, stay. Events do not rebuild walls for you.
- Are both rivals visible on the event? Safer to send a Rover. If nobody is on the event, assume a silent raid.
- Do we need the payout more than the next floor button? If the floor is ready to buy, stay.
- Can one body contest alone? Prefer one-body contests for Air Drops / KotH peeks.
Run the Raid Checklist before converting event winnings into a full dive. Event cash spent on a late rocket while droppers are missing is still a bad buy—see the weapon unlock order mindset even when the lobby is loud.
Stacking events with codes and gifts
Events are one income layer. Stack them:
- Redeem LAUNCH / THX1500 before a Double Cash window (Codes)
- Collect daily rewards and play-time gifts on the same session (Daily Rewards)
- Spend surplus into droppers first, then mid guns, then specialties
Population spikes after patches like Predator Missile make every event hotter. Assign roles out loud before the first rotation.
Common event mistakes
- Both partners leaving for every Air Drop
- Holding Oddball with a naked vault and celebrating in chat
- Ignoring Double Cash to ego-duel on KotH with empty pockets
- Starting a deep raid mid-event while the Anchor is also contesting
- Spending event loot on vanity before floors and lasers
Practice plan
- One session where you skip contested Air Drops and only mash Double Cash—compare floor progress.
- One KotH hold with a dedicated home-peek timer (every fight cycle).
- One Oddball round with mandatory carrier swaps.
- One event-into-raid: use KotH noise as cover, still finish power → vault → cash run.

Win the rotation you can bank. The duo that deposits event cash and still has walls beats the duo that wins every hill and loses every vault.
Frequently Asked Questions
Quick answers for codes, raids, defenses, and co-op play.
What timed events appear in 2 Player Raid Tycoon?
You will regularly see Air Drops, King of the Hill, Oddball, and Double Cash rotating every few minutes.
Should both players always contest events?
No. Default to Rover contesting while Anchor holds the factory, especially if walls or guards are thin.
When is Double Cash most valuable?
When you have unspent cash from codes or raids and unfinished droppers, conveyors, upgraders, or floor buttons.
How do events interact with raiding?
KotH and Oddball chaos can cover an approach, but never start a deep vault crack if your own pad is undefended.
What should I buy with event rewards?
Income first, then light defense and a mid gun. Save flamethrower and rocket specialties until the factory spine is stable.
